Erosion Solutions International Pty Ltd (ESI) is a member of the Jimboomba Turf Group and was established in 1985 when the management of Jimboomba Turf Group recognised the need for an organisation to provide cost effective green solutions to erosion and soil loss. ESI is a market leader in development of reinforced turf products, such as the revolutionary STAYturf. The company also offers a complete range of associated products and services.

Erosion Control - STAYturf

ESI has carried out several major rehabilitation projects in areas where construction, mining, or erosion have necessitated rehabilitation and the restoration of vegetation. ESI has a range of cost effective green solutions.

Products & Services

STAYturf

STAYturf is a mature reinforced turf product available in a variety of grass types and produced in rolls up to 4 metres in width. STAYturf is able to withstand severe erosion forces and allows for the use of environmentally friendly grass in place of hard armour such as rock and concrete.

Hydromulching

A specially blended mixture of mulch, seed, fertiliser, binders, and water that can be sprayed onto bare ground including steep batters to establish permanent vegetation. Mixtures and application rates are varied to suit each individual site. Mixtures can include grasses or native trees and shrubs.

Hydroseeding

Using the same machinery as used for hydromulching, a mixture of water, seed, fertiliser, and binders (no mulch) is sprayed onto a seedbed. This process is usually followed with the application of mulch.

Straw Mulching

Specialised equipment is used to apply straw and binders over hydroseeded or mechanically seeded areas. The straw will protect the surface from erosion and assist in seed establishment by reducing evaporation.

Seeding

Tractor mounted equipment is used to prepare the seedbed before the seed and fertiliser is spread. ESI can also provide the additional service of stick raking and rolling of the area to be seeded.

Mulching

ESI has developed a unique method of spreading timber mulch, which has been produced as a result of tub grinding after tree clearing. This process allows for reuse of the wood mulch on site. It can not only save money by not having to re-handle the mulch, but also reduces soil erosion and dust on site.

Soil Amendment

ESI has the machinery and the expertise to spread and incorporate all types of soil amendments. Lime, Gypsum, Organic fertilisers and trace elements can be applied and incorporated using our unique range of equipment.

Bio-Remediation

ESI have developed several types of dry mulch/seeding methods to reduce erosion, improve germination, and reduce watering. Utilising specialised machinery to spread a mixture of mulch and bio-solids over seeded areas, this process is ideal for remediation of large, severely degraded sites such as landfills or areas that have been subject to activities of the extractive industry.
