The Jimboomba Turf Group has unsurpassed experience and expertise in renovation of almost any turf surface.

Dethatching

A specialised machine with rapidly rotating blades is used to remove dead thatch in the turf profile. Dethatching is important to open the turf and reduce fungal and other thatch related problems.

A light dethatching (to 4-5mm) is often used for grooming of a turf surface prior to a major event. Our specialised dethatching machine also vacuums the dead material leaving a clean surface.

Scarifying

Using the same machine as used for dethatching, when scarifying the blades are set closer and should go to the top of the soil. This is a much more aggressive process, and is usually carried out with aeration and topdressing.

Aeration

We use a variety of machines capable of aerating any sports surface. From fine turf greens to sportsfields, racetracks, and parklands. Both solid and hollow tyne operations are available to effectively open the soil structure and produce better growth.

Topdressing

Our specialised topdressing machine has extremely low ground pressure and will not compact the surface. The machine can be calibrated to accurately spread a variety of topdressing materials.

Fertiliser Spreading

All turf surfaces require fertilisation. We have a range of specialised equipment to spread all types of organics, fertilisers, and trace elements.

Spraying

A range of machines to accurately and efficiently apply both herbicides and insecticides are available.
